For the 14th year in a row, the Mazda3 found its way onto the 10 Coolest News Cars Under $18,000 list according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. This makes it the all-time champion of the annual list, and it’s the fourth year in a row that it’s landed the no. 1 spot! The Mazda3 made its way onto the market 14 years ago, meaning it’s been on this list every year since the beginning.

“The Mazda3 is widely regarded as the best-looking and most fun-to-drive vehicle in the segment, and we call it one of the coolest cars of all time,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.

Fun-to-drive and fun-to-own are two of the main ways that KBB.com decides which vehicles make it onto this list. Although it’s completely subjective as far as the “cool factor” goes, KBB.com still shares the list to give drivers an idea of which new, exciting vehicles are also extremely affordable.

Available Trims for the 2017 Mazda3

There are four trims available altogether for the 2017 Mazda3 including a limited Special Edition trim that essentially builds off the GX base trim. We’re going to highlight some features to get a better idea of what these trims include.

Those who choose the base GX trim will enjoy features such as keyless entry with Push Button Start and G-Vectoring Control for performance. The next-in-line GS trim adds on heated front seats for comfort and Smart City Brake Support for performance. The top-of-the-line GT trim includes dual-zone automatic climate controls for added convenience and LED tail lights and fog lights for increased visibility.
