Why Do My Mazda Phone Calls Sound Bad?

Everyone has a phone in their pocket these days and it’s supposed to stay in our pocket though. We all check our phones every now and again though. Thankfully cars these days are aware of our inclinations and try to help out as much as they can.

The newer the car, the more likely it is to have some Bluetooth compatibility. If you need some help pairing your phone with your car via Bluetooth you can check out Mazda’s helpful guide here. Pairing up your phone and car helps in a lot of different ways like letting you take calls without having to take a hand off the wheel.

What Aren’t My Calls Sounding Clear?

It can be hard to know quite how you’re coming through when you’re using your car to handle phone calls. If you’re getting some complaints about sound quality though there could be a lot of different things. It might just be road noise, it might be driving, or it could just be your normal tone of voice. There are a few different things you can check through to make sure everything will come through on your end.

The easiest thing to check on is making sure your A/C isn’t blowing into the microphone which is usually located above the windshield. All of that rushing wind can muddle your sound quality and even if they aren’t pointed at the microphone if they are on high that can also affect how you come across. If it’s outside noise then the easiest way to improve your sound quality is to find a calmer area and maybe park somewhere quieter.
